About Hollteck

Established in 1978 The Hollteck Company, Inc produced the first 'user friendly' roller entry guides for the North American steel industry. Thanks to the foresightedness of our customers, who had faith in our abilities, the new range of roller entry guides was a resounding success. Success breed’s success and Hollteck was able to expand their manufacturing facilities into Europe with the purchase of The Hollteck Company Ltd (formerly Rolling Mill Guides Ltd), in 1983. The developments in roller entry guides have been repeated in many other forms of entry and delivery guides. The range and quality of Hollteck guide types now far exceeds that of any other, older established competitors. We thank all our customers, old and new, without whom we would never have succeeded. Their support has made Hollteck Company a major supplier to the world’s metals industries.

The continuous development and the extensive range of our products have been made possible by the use of the latest technology advances in design equipment.

CAD and AutoDesk Inventor design systems are updated regularly to provide our design staff with the necessary tools to produce accurate information for our manufacturing facilities. Our design engineering teams meet regularly with clients and other departmental members of management to ensure attention to detail and to address client’s requirements. The introduction of CAD and Inventor has become very important to our proposals department. We can now include “on stand” arrangements and 3D images with our quotations so that the customer has a clear image of the equipment we are offering in relation to their Mill-Stands. Any suggested amendments by clients are made easier with the use of our computer systems.

To ensue control of the product quality Hollteck has remained in the forefront of casting technology. Our pattern making facilities supports moulding shops, which is able to efficiently provide a rapid service from the foundry. When necessary, the cooperation between the two departments can provide a casting within hours.

The foundries utilises the latest moulding and casting technology. The casting methods and equipment are continuously up-dated to provide a quicker more efficient turn around of product with a superior surface finish.

A combination of CAD design and CAM manufacturing provided Hollteck with the facility to handle all our customer requirements with speed and accuracy. CNC manufacturing methods ensures that the Hollteck client receives the best value available. We have invested heavily in providing our work force with the best tools to perform their work, which is reflected in the quality of our products. Training of all our personnel is of paramount importance and cross training is also carried out to provide continuing interest and experience.

Experienced company and independent inspection staff carry out a though inspection of all components prior to and during final assembly. During assembly our technical staff constantly monitor the product. Our design staffs are always on hand to check that the concepts of their design are evolving as intended.

Field experience is essential for all designers and every effort is made to give personnel the opportunity to visit and be involved at the client’s facility during the start-up and commissioning process.
